PLEASE NOTE; 

We would recommend lining the planter with a pot liner or heavy duty plastic to protect the wood from compost and soil on the inside . Please make necessary drainage holes in the plastic to avoid saturation 

We also recommend treating the Spruce wood on arrival and periodically thereafter with a wood protecting treatment
