A basic fire bowl that still does all that is required for heat and atmosphere in the garden and 4 different sizes means there is one perfect for you and your garden !
What we love:
- Hand crafted from sheets of 2mm mild/carbon steel , a simple, deep curved fire bowl for garden and outdoor use
- The steel will continue to rust as it is exposed to the elements over several months
- Due to this "run off" we recommend the firepits are not placed on surfaces that can stain in the early months until the oxidisation process is complete
- A hole is drilled in the base to maximise air flow and also to allow rain water to drain through
- The edges can be uneven and quite fine (light sanding can blunt sharp edges if required)
PLEASE NOTE - the metal will get hot when alight and for some time after - please treat with caution and use gloves to touch or move
NEVER leave a fire pit unattended when lit and NEVER leave young children unsupervised near a lit fire pit.
- Stage 1 - Freshly manufactured Mild Steel. At this stage, the material is a shiny silver.
- Stage 2 - The silver is beginning to break down, as the Mild Steel begins to weather.
- Stage 3 - The Mild Steel continues to develop, this can take around 3-6 months depending on weather and positioning.
- Stage 4 - The final stages of the weathering process gives the Mild Steel a dark rust finish.
