Choose from 3mm thick CorTen steel that will weather and oxidise quickly over a few months to produce the "rusted" colour representative of CorTen OR the same 3mm CorTen steel but with a dark grey (RAL9005) powder coated aluminium finish. 

The weathering process is purely aesthetic and once fully weathered, produces an extremely strong, durable metal that is perfect for long years of outdoor use. The weathering process itself does produce "run-off" in the first few months and this can cause staining of any surfaces it is contact with so we strongly advise this is done in a place that is able to take the staining and then moved into its permanent position once fully weathered. 

Our supplier can manage the weathering process themselves before despatch and they can speed up the process but of course, the lead time will be extended if you wish for this service. There is also an option for the supplier to apply themselves OR supply to you a mat lacquer that can be applied when the product is fully weathered or at a stage when you wish it to stop weathering further . There is an additional smallish cost for this service and/or the lacquer.
